Established in 1986 and licensed by the U.S. Dept. of the Treasury, Pier International is practiced in all commodities of International trade. Our experience is one of our greatest assets and we use this to enhance the competitive edge that is needed in today's global market. Our dedicated staff consists of licensed Brokers and Certified Customs Specialists. Our expertise and "informed compliance" of International and U.S. Customs trade laws, statutes, tariffs and other governmental agency (FDA, USDA , EPA, etc,) regulatory requirements expedite our clients U.S. Customs clearance.
We are certified and approved for all U.S. Customs & Border Protection trade programs ( A.B.I. , A.C.E. , E.I.P. ) including Remote Location Filing which enables our firm to electronically "clear" U.S. Customs in all United States ports from our headquarters in New York City.

We are also approved as I.S.F. -Importer Security Filers- per recent U.S. Customs and Federal Regulation requirements (January 26 , 2009 19 CFR 149 and Sec 203 of 2006 Safe Port Act). The United States Customs Service bases its Import Tariff schedules and Schedule B export nomenclature upon the International Harmonized Tariff System (HTS). The HTS establishes international import and export commodity codes and duty rates for all commodities. We are dedicated to assist our clients in the critical task of determining the correct HTS codes for their products and thus taking appropriate steps to achieve correct duty savings and avoiding undesirable consequences.
